Where Dhows Once Sailed, Ships Now Rise
On December 5, 2024, the National Aerospace Services Company (NASCOM) and Etlaq Spaceport conducted Oman’s historic first suborbital mission, demonstrating the institutional readiness and ability to design, integrate, and execute a successful flight operation. This mission validated Etlaq Spaceport’s launch capabilities and established a foundation for future orbital programs. The launch was conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT) and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
